Photography is a powerful storytelling medium and can often spark conversations and lead to educating others on important issues. </p><p>We are certain there are storytellers with a passion for photography among the environmental health workforce. We welcome the chance to celebrate your impact in environmental public health.</p><p>For tips on how to take great photos, check out our March <a href=\"/spark\">Spark!</a> webinar, <a href=\"https://community.neha.org/virtualEvent/fDt8N3rKXeJGFzsq4\" target=\"_blank\">Lens on Environmental Health: Capturing Meaningful and Relevant Photos</a>.</p><h2>Theme</h2><p>Lens on Environmental Health </p><h2>Photo Requirements </h2><h4>³§¾±³ú±ðÌý</h4><p>Photos must be high quality, high resolution (1MB or larger, high-resolution) as we will be printing them large and matting them for display.  </p><h4>Subject</h4><p>Photo submissions must: </p><ul><li>Be free of identifiable individuals.  </li><li>Be free of logos.  </li><li>Not have been previously published. </li><li>Not be altered by adding, rearranging, reversing, distorting or removing people and/or objects from within the frame.</li><li>Represent at least one of the following environmental public health categories:  <ul><li>Climate Health </li><li>Healthy Communities </li><li>General Environmental Health </li><li>Food Safety</li><li>Water Safety </li></ul></li></ul><h2>³§³Ü²ú³¾¾±²õ²õ¾±´Ç²Ô²õÌý</h2><p>We are not currently accepting submissions. Individuals were limited to submitting one photo per category and three total photos. Individuals must have an active Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏͼ <a href=\"/membership\">membership</a> to participate. </p><h2>Contest</h2><p>Each photo submitted will be featured in a photography exhibition at our 2024 AEC.  </p><ul><li>First, second, and third place winners will be selected in each category.  </li><li>Winners receive a large printed and matted copy of their photo, recognition, and a prize. </li></ul><h2>´³³Ü»å²µ¾±²Ô²µÌý</h2><p>Lucy Houghton, PhD and Gina Bare, photographer and our own Associate Director for the Program and Partnership program will serve as the judges for the contest.</p><h2>AEC Photography Reception</h2><p>We will host a photography reception at the AEC to display all of the photos and announce the contest winners. All AEC attendees are invited to the ticketed event.
